Founded by Robert Yüksel YILDIRIM in 2023, Amissos Sports & Entertainment is a global multi-club ownership group with a strategic focus on football. The Group owns Türkiye’s Süper Lig Club Samsunspor, acquired in 2018, and French Ligue 2 Club USL Dunkerque, acquired in 2023 – forming the foundation of a growing international network.

Robert Yüksel YILDIRIM is the Founder, Chairman & CEO of CoreX Holding, and a globally recognized industrial entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience in engineering, mining, logistics, and infrastructure. After earning his degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and Oregon State University, he began his career in the U.S. with a patent in crane design before returning to Türkiye to lead YILDIRIM Group into one of the country’s largest industrial conglomerates.

 

Under his leadership, YILMADEN became the world’s 3rd largest chromium producer and YILPORT ranked among the top 10 global container terminal operators. He has been consistently listed among the top 100 most influential people in global shipping by Lloyd’s List.

 

Born and raised in Samsun, Robert Yüksel YILDIRIM acquired Samsunspor FC in 2018 at a time when the Club was facing severe financial turmoil and on the brink of bankruptcy. Driven by a deep personal connection and a desire to restore pride to the hometown Club he had long supported, he stepped in to lead a complete rebuild. With the acquisition of USL Dunkerque in 2023, YILDIRIM laid the foundation for Amissos Sports & Entertainment, turning his football vision into reality. This philosophy centers on professionalism, financial sustainability, and long-term planning – applying the same industrial discipline and strategic mindset that has defined his business success.
